Wheelchair and Special Needs

Martial Arts is for everyone

Virtual Taekwondo for Wheelchair Users

Taekwondo is more than just a sport; it is a lifestyle built on discipline, confidence, and perseverance. At Myung Martial Arts, we believe that these benefits should be accessible to everyone. We are thrilled to announce the opening of our Virtual Wheelchair Taekwondo Class, specifically designed to bring the power of martial arts directly to your home.

Our mission is to ensure that martial arts is open to anyone with the desire to learn. We are eager to welcome new students to this program and are dedicated to providing a supportive, high-energy environment where every individual can thrive. Because specialized adaptive programs can be difficult to find, we are committed to filling that gap and sharing the art of Taekwondo with the community.

What to Expect

This class is specifically structured for students who use wheelchairs. We focus on adapting traditional techniques to ensure they are effective, safe, and engaging. The curriculum includes:

  • Taekwondo Forms (Poomsae): Learn the artistic and disciplined sequences of movements that define Taekwondo.

  • Hand Techniques: Master powerful strikes, blocks, and open-hand maneuvers.

  • Self-Defense: Gain practical skills and situational awareness tailored to your unique mobility.

  • Board Breaking: Experience the thrill of power breaking using specialized adaptive techniques.

  • And More: From flexibility exercises to mental fortitude, we cover all aspects of the martial arts lifestyle.
